Emotion before knowledge
Strong emotions move people to act, but enthusiasm that is not guided by knowledge and wisdom soon fades or turns toward the wrong goals.
Being stuck on form
Neglecting the essence and focusing on appearance reduces religion to a badge of identity. Islam, however, is first a transformation of the heart and of character.
Lack of planning and continuity
Work without goals, timelines or measures cannot produce lasting results, however sincere it may be.
Believing we alone are right
Intolerance of differing views weakens consultation and closes the movement in on itself.
The gap between word and deed
A call whose bearers do not live what they say loses its power to persuade.
“O you who believe, why do you say what you do not do?” (As-Saff, 61:2)
