A right aim can only be reached through a right method. The methodology of the Islamic Movement seeks to bring the guidance of the Qur'an and Sunnah, and the accumulated wisdom of reason and experience, together with the realities of our time.
Our sources
Our core reference is the Noble Qur'an and the example of the Messenger of God (peace be upon him). We respect the heritage of the Islamic scholarly tradition and think it through together with the questions of our age.
From the individual to society
Change begins with the individual. A person who reforms themselves transforms their family, the family transforms its surroundings, and the surroundings transform society. That is why education and character-building lie at the centre of our work.

Lasting transformation comes not through haste but through patience. We set our priorities and move forward according to our capacity, guided by the principle of continuity.
Peaceful and lawful means
Our call is built on wisdom and good counsel. We reject violence, coercion and chaos, and rely on lawful paths such as scholarship, education, publishing, social solidarity and public dialogue.

Consultation and collective wisdom
We make our decisions through shura, bringing different knowledge and experience together. No individual represents the whole movement; the movement is the fruit of shared reason.
